Biography of Kim E. Gordon

 

Kim E. Gordon is the Associate Editor and lead story writer for the Capital City Courier.  A native of Peoria, Illinois with a literary background in non-fiction as well as fiction, Kim has worked as a freelance editor for “Glencoe/McGraw-Hill Publishers.”  She has written articles for organizational newsletters, as well as written and edited monthly newsletters for various businesses.  Her fiction credentials include the writing and publication of the psychological humor book, Woof-Man: A Woman’s Guide to Her Man’s Inner Canine, numerous poems, short stories, and other literary works.  She has received several awards including the 2003 Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry.  Her fantasy novel, Elfame, won 2nd place in the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers’ Colorado Gold Writing Contest and Honorable Mention in the Florida State Writing Competition.  Kim’s well-researched and informative articles have appeared on the cover and have been an integral part of the Capital City Courier newspaper’s rise to international prominence.  Kim is currently completing a thorough, in-depth and well-researched exposé of the relationship between Black Americans and their historical “step-country” entitled Uncle Sam is Not a Blood Relative!
